ER is less than ideal. I had to take my mom in early one morning for vomiting and abdominal pain. We arrived at approx 8am- the wait wasn't too long; only about an hour. But after she was taken in & put into a bed, it took forever for a nurse to even acknowledge us! We waited sooooooo long for an IV and tests to be done. She didn't even see a physician until about 3pm. And don't even get me started on the diagnosis! We sat in triage for nearly 10 hours before learning what her issue was. She was not discharged until about 7pm, so we literally spent the entire day there. There's signs on the walls stating "Get Involved and Speak Up!"- this is true! If you stay quiet, the staff legitimately might forget about you.
