What a wonderful experience! I really wanted to have lunch in piazza San Marco since I already knew it was going to be amazing. I swear, the atmosphere here is magic, really reminds me of Venice, just without pigeons.
The staff is so welcoming and nice! We sat at a table on a Monday afternoon and the manager, Alessio, immediately greeted us in Italian. Che meraviglia!
The menu is not extensive but variegated. I got the half panino con prosciutto crudo San Daniele with a side of tuna tartar and my friend got the gnocchi alla sorrentina. How delicious! All the ingredients are fresh and the gnocchi were made in house. Oh oh and the burrata was the touché! It comes with a truffle oil and tomatoes, a great combination of flavors.
An espresso was just what we needed to end this great meal.
This is how an Italian from Italy likes to eat: fresh delicious food, good company, warm staff, and a characteristic ambience that recalls your origins.
