At 69 minutes this show runs short in more ways than one. Yes, the lead actress and the fat girl in the book club are brilliant singers. Yes, at times the show is funny. Yes, Jose was highly entertaining (and along with the male dancers - totally hot). BUT, unless you've read the book or watched the movie, you are going to have trouble following along with the play because it's so disjointed. Watching a morbidly obese lead actor sling around his exposed fat and man boobs was beyond gross. One song was dedicated to the word 'F*#%' which was appalling. The stage was stark and unimaginative making this a low budget show.
