Bait and switch, lots of upcharges once you go in after quoting routine procedures over the phone. Be very careful before scheduling anything here.
I called and asked for a quote on a very routine cat procedure. I got several phone quotes from different vets and this seemed the most reasonable at $320 plus a $50 consultation. I specifically asked about extra fees and was assured this would be the total price. When I went in for the consultation, the "estimate" now doubled in price and the consultation was now $101 to include necessary bloodwork (which phone person said would be included). This is still based on a standard procedure on a healthy young cat with no issues. The so-called surgical fee was $320 but a host of additional fees doubled it. So we are talking $650 now for a very basic and routine procedure. Well above every other all-in quote I got from other vets.
Obviously I left without paying for the bloodwork but they still charged me $52 for the sales presentation. I have several quotes from other more reputable vets and I will use one of them. I was misled over the phone and not only wasted time getting off work but also $52 to hear a sales pitch.
If you look at the other many bad reviews you can see I'm not the only one they have done this to, so despite the manager's comment below this very much IS their business model.
