BEWARE!!!! YOUR GLASS SHOWER DOOR MIGHT EXPLODE TO A MILLION PIECES. PLEASE READ: I stayed at the hotel while my husband was in a coma at the nearby hospital, one second before going into the shower, the glass door EXPLODED out of the blue. I was lucky I was with my back to the door and no glass went into my eyes. I did get a lot of glass all over my legs, little shreds all over. The sound of the explosion was so strong I can still hear it in my head. I called the front desk and they sent a maintenance person to help me relocate to another room. I did manage to pull all the little pieces by myself and did not need medical attention. One would think the hotel manager will contact you with an explanation and some sort of compensation, right? WRONG!!!!!!! AFTER A VERY BRIEF APOLOGY THIS IS WHAT THE GM KEN HAMMAC TOLD ME WORD BY WORD (I recorded him on my cell) "THIS HAPPENED MANY TIMES BEFORE BUT NEVER TO A GUEST, ONLY TO THE STAFF" SO I DON'T UNDERSTAND, what kind of explanation is that??? If he knew that all along that some doors are defective, what are you waiting for? For a tragedy to happen? And what kind of an explanation is that? So you don't care if the maids that clean the room get injured? Is their safety less important than the guests? THIS IS BEYOND ME. WHAT KIND OF THING TO SAY? IF THE GM KNEW ABOUT THIS ISSUE, WHY WAS NOTHING DONE? I needed to stay at the hotel while my husband was in the ICU and when my reservation expired, he was not even able to let me extend it for one or two more nights, even at a higher rate. NO REAL APOLOGY, ZERO COMPENSATION, ZERO WILLINGNESS TO HELP KNOWING I HAVE NO TIME TO BE LOOKING FOR ANOTHER HOTEL CLOSE TO THE HOSPITAL. I WONDER WHERE THE HILTON FOUND THIS G.M?
