Trader Joe's is a simply marvelous place for the pantry staples of better living at excellent prices - smoked salmon, balsamic vinegar, olive oil - and some wonderful house brand frozen dishes. Many wonderful items to explore here.
Only gripe - the house brand garlic stuffed olives are packed in vinegar instead of a salty brine, rendering them woefully unsuitable for dirty martinis (also a staple of better living - your mileage may vary).
As for wine, prices on known brands not exceptional, but trader joe's reserve cabernet sauvignon at $10/bottle is a great value. As for the famous two buck chuck: to marinade - yes. to drink - no.
