Oh how I wish I would have gone to Banner Desert!! Coming here was a HUGE mistake! If I could give this awful place -10 stars I would. Went in to the ER for a super routine issue. Had to go to the ER as it was late and unfortunately all the urgent cares were closed. Dr or PA (not sure) saw me for maybe 5 mins. I asked them for my Rx and told them I would see my Dr in the morning. Well, no, they couldn't let me leave as my tests were inconclusive. What?? So, they ran a battery of tests and would not let me leave for fear that I could "die and sue them". So, we do the "required" tests (NEVER had them done before when I've had this issue) and everything is fine. As I knew it would be. Spent 5 hours there for them to finally figure out that I had what I told them I had when I came in. Fast forward 2 months and my insurance is billed $13K!! $13K! For seeing me for 5 min and sticking me in the waiting room for 4 hours! They coded me as having a 'life threatening' condition. If I was that serious, I would have thought I would have been looked in on and not made to sit in the waiting room for 4 hours. It was a common routine issue. There is no way to get a hold of anyone. Billing is a joke. We were basically told, this is what you owe, pay up. They billed my insurance $1000 for the Dr/PA to see me for 5 min! They billed me $4K to sit in their waiting room for 4 hours. I'm wondering what they billed the homeless man that was not a patient who was sleeping in their waiting room . All in all, absolute nightmare dealing with this place. If you like to over pay and get the run around, this is the place for you. If you like to actually be treated with actual dignity and not give up your first born, I would go to Banner. Waaaaay better facilities and they won't overcharge you.
