A lot of people told me PH was a nice hotel, so I figured why not and decided to stay here. You have to walk through the Miracle Miles shops to get to the hotel/casino which I thought was a pain because I didn't want to walk through it every time we had to go to our car.
The layout is really weird and the signs don't really help. I circled the casino looking for the lobby and eventually realized it is downstairs. Check in took what seemed like a lifetime. The line literally stopped moving for a few minutes and as the line grew longer fewer people were helping with check in. Shouldn't management provide more staff members to accommodate the line instead of having them leave? I already had a bad first impression.
The room itself was alright with nothing really special unless you consider the movie theme special. Depending on your theme it can be hit or miss. We got Air Bud 2. Really Air Bud 2? The layout of the room is just weird...I think they were trying to change the layout so people would not be reminded of the Aladdin. Plain and simple they did not utilize the space well. The bed was comfy and the linens were crisp and clean. Bathroom was nice though I would prefer double sinks, but that's just my preference. There was no floor mat for the shower so the floor gets all wet when you're done unless you put a regular towel down as your floor mat.
I probably would not stay at PH again unless I got a killer deal. If it weren't for the location I would probably give it 2 stars based on customer service.
On a side note the slots here are super tight so I would not gamble here and there isn't cell reception, but that could just be my provider. However, I am able to get reception at every other hotel.
