If I were to rate this restaurant solely on the food and atmosphere it would get 5 stars. Very cool atmosphere for a diner, lots of Harley and street rod pictures and there is even a '57 Bel Air convertible made into a booth. I was there for breakfast and I had the chicken fried steak and eggs. Without a doubt the best CFS I have ever had, the gravy was loaded with sausage and packed a spicy kick. It was definitely house made and not a packaged mix like you get at many places. The potatoes were roasted and had a mix of red potato and sweet potato and were outstanding. My business associate had bacon and eggs, thick bacon, eggs cooked properly and it came with a nice fluffy biscuit.
My issue with this place is the service. When we walked in the server was taking an order at a table that had over a dozen ladies there for what appeared to be a weekly book club or something. We stood there waiting for someone to come seat us and eventually, about a minute and a half later, she glanced over and told us to sit wherever and she would come find us. We sat for a good 5 minutes before menus came and she came back another 5 minutes later to take our order. The food actually came out rather quickly to my surprise, and as stated before it was an amazing breakfast.
Now, the fact that it took so long for us to get service was not the fault of the server, who identified herself as Kasey, because she was the only person working the floor and the bar. I counted 6 guys at the bar and another 20 people in the dining area. She did a great job considering. Perhaps some servers called in sick? They are priced at the higher end for a diner, but the food is very high quality. I will definitely go back for the breakfast and give their customer service another shot when I am in the area.
