Oh man, don't tell anyone BUT I ordered a dozen mini cupcakes today and ate almost all of them... as my lunch... because they are just too good! FuManChu is a hidden cupcake gem and I love going here. It's a small shop with lots of character -- really cool local art on the walls and some seating. They have a small-ish case of cupcakes, which have always been fresh, and a smaller case of cookies. What makes this place unique is that all of their offerings are creative and some have alcohol. One of my favorites is the Tennessee Apple Pie. It's an apple cupcake soaked in American Born Apple Pie Moonshine, house-made apple jam buttercream, topped with dehydrated apples. It has excellent flavor and I could eat about 10 of these!!! I also love their Lemon Drop Shot (citrus vodka soaked lemon cupcake topped with lemon frosting & lemon sawdust), the Coffee Stout (espresso coffee stout cupcake topped with espresso frosting), and the Blueberry (blueberry cupcake with an almond & blueberry core topped with blueberry buttercream frosting). If you have not been to FuManChu, you've got to check it out! TIP: If you order a dozen on Sunday, they're half price! Take them to work on Monday... your coworkers will love you.
