Came here to celebrate some personal successes and was blown away as usual. To be honest, I've only ever been for the amazing cocktails, burrata, truffle popcorn and squid ink risotto, but those dishes alone make me want to recommend this place to anyone and everyone. First, we ordered the Burrata (of course) because it's the best house-made burrata ever. Next, we had the Semolina Gnocchi with Lamb neck that instigated a small battle of the forks (Next time, we'll just have to get our own). The sauce alone I'd like to bathe in, but the lamb was cooked amazingly and the gnocchi was the perfect complement. After that we had the Cavatelli with Braised Hen and a Pullet egg. My companion was very excited about this dish because of the Pullet Egg. I really have never eaten anything like this dish before, but I found it interesting and hearty. Cooked perfectly with great texture. Obviously at this point we couldn't say no to Tracey Dempsey desserts. I was pining over the apple crostada, but my friend insisted upon the chocolate hazelnut dessert. Complete bliss, but I required a second glass of the Italian Red Blend because who eats chocolate without wine? Last but not least, Keifer is a wizard when it comes to mixology. We ( I say "we" but I couldn't help but keep tasting his drinks) had a delightful pink cocktail that I can't remember the name of or whats in it, but so delicious I wanted to order a carafe. The other one was the Smoke n Bols that I insisted my friend drink because it had all my favorite components, Vida Mezcal, Bols Genever, ginger, vanilla, lime and a Ruby Port. I'm not excited very easily about a restaurant, but Crudo literally makes my heart sing and everyone should eat here at some point in their lives.
