The Paisley Violin is very close to the State Capitol where I work and I only just discovered it. Considering you have to drive into downtown Phoenix to get any sort of decent food if you work in the Capitol complex, I'd call this quite a find. It's a little hard to find if you don't know what you're looking for, and though there is a small parking lot, you're better off trying to snag a spot on the street if you see one. We went on a Friday for lunch, and though many of the tables filled up, the restaurant was still quiet, providing a great atmosphere for conversation. The service was a little slow and inattentive, but the bartender was also our waiter. The description of the sandwich I ordered said it came on a croissant, but it came out on bread instead. My friend had to send her entree back because they left off the tofu she'd requested be added to her salad. However, all the food tasted delicious. I'll definitely go here again, especially when I need something closer than downtown, but can't stand another enchilada from La Canasta Capitolio.
