My husband and I used to come here a lot and the food was amazing. Sometime within the last year they changed their chef and the food has significantly gone down hill! At one point their waiter was making food! Their food is inconsistently terrible-- sometimes it is really greasy, sometimes unbearably salty, and sometimes it is just not at all what you ordered! You never know what you are going to get, but it is never good. After giving this restaurant a second, third, and fourth chance to redeem themselves, we stopped coming all together. We will never go back! Poor move on Persis' part for firing their top-notch chef last year. If you want good Indian food, try Passage to India on University City Blvd instead. The only positive thing I can say about Persis is that we enjoyed their Indian music videos that played on their TV.
