La Palette is a small unpretentious restaurant on Queen St. It's dimly lit and gives off a very cozy and romantic feeling. Great atmosphere with service staffs that are very friendly and informative about daily specials and recommendations.
I initially came to this restaurant for a birthday dinner with some close friends and was not disappointed. The food was amazing. Simple yet rich in flavour and extremely tasty! The escargots were DELICIOUS, baked in mushrooms and garlic sauce - it was a great way to start the meal. For my entrée I tried the 'Cheval' and it was orgasmic - very juicy/tender inside while maintaining a crisp outside without being overly cooked, I just wish the piece of meat wasn't so small :'(
Overall it was a great dinner and an amazing night. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody that would like to try French cuisine or is looking for a romantic evening.
