marquee was one of the latest "new" day & night clubs that i've been meaning to go to for awhile. luckily, as guests @ cosmo, club entrance is free for you + guest. you need to show them your hotel key and they let you cut the line. otherwise, i think it's $20 for girls and $50? for guys for cover.
setup is interesting, the entrance is confusingly on the 2nd floor close to wicked spoon. it's away from the actual hotel rooms which is nice. you take an elevator ride to the actual dance floor.
setup -- very much like xs and tryst with indoor and outdoor space.
-indoors + outdoor space - people only mingle outside. even though there is a DJ outside, no one is dancing. indoor space is PACKED. DJ is upfront with dance floor below surrounded by booths and tables. the visual projection behind the dj is pretty sweet.
-space in general -- wayyy too many people. we managed to squeeze in to the sides and middle here and there but it was way too exhausting after midnight to find a spot so we took the party upstairs.
-pool - there is a pool outside. someone jumped in... do not jump in. why? because you get kicked out.
music has been house and dub step with a few top hits mixed in.
