What drew me in was the sign on the sidewalk claiming 100% Kona coffee. I'm a kona junky and bring back a large supply every time I'm on the Big Island. We didn't go this winter so I've had a bad need for my favorite cup of joe. The shop, the staff all emanated that Aloha spirit once we entered. Now for the coffee. Yep, this is the stuff. I closed my eyes and could taste and feel the upslope of Holualoa, nutty and not a hint of bitterness. This morning I will be heading back for another taste of my Hawaiian paradise, my spiritual home where I leave the world pressures behind in the Goddess Pele's warm and nurturing embrace. Aloha.
