Have been to breadfruit twice now, both times for drinks and appetizers. Both times the greeting was exceptional, but do not expect much "can-do" service. While employees are nice and professional, you will get nowhere asking, for example, for a virgin drink with no alcohol. On both visits we had non-drinkers and simply asked if we could get one of their signature drinks made with no booze. It is almost a scripted answer: "No, we do not do that..." Certainly can understand this if the ingredients may have mixes that also contain alcohol, but come on...with such remarkable mixologists (jus ask them, they will tell you!) it seems implausible that a non-drinker could not be accommodated. This was a trend, because on our first visit someone in our party asked if they could get a particular run drink made with a touch of ginger (I believe that was it) and again, "No, we do not do that..." Really? Since when did a rum bar become as set in their ways as a German deli? It is a great place with, we are sure, great food (we have just tried some bites and desserts), but the ownership definitely needs to relax a bit because you can almost see the waiters wanting to accommodate you...but they apparently cannot.
