Because I believe that the review depends on the person, a bit about me. I'm a 36 going on 37 year old first-time bride who is paying for her own dress. I have outgrown mommy and daddy's wallet. We are two adults paying for the majority of our wedding. We are working on a crazy-short timeline (6 months to make it all happen). I am more of the grown-lady-on-a-mission shopper and less of the little-princess-pea-needs-mamma-to-buy-her-a-pwetty-wittle-dress shopper.
I've had pretty great shopping experiences across the board, but Demetrios was the winner. Tina, the sales person, was knowledgable, attentive, a great communicator, and honestly enjoys her work. She asked me about the theme of the wedding, my budget, and my timeline and with that she pulled some gorgeous dresses. She even held my cell phone so that my sister (matron of honor) could take a look via Skype.
I found "the one"...a sophisticated and sexy corset-back fit and flare with some touches of bling. The dress was discontinued, but not pre-owned. This saved me a bunch of cash. Tina is a rock star.
Alterations will not be a trivial task...I need the dress to be two sizes smaller and I need to get a bustle added. I will post a separate review for the alteration.
