On the positive side-I give them a five because of the staff. I can't complain. The best service ever--very friendly, courteous. Great location in the middle of everything. Although, not as near from Eaton Center as the Hyatt website indicates. On the negative side, this place is definitely not in par with other Hyatt hotels that I visited in the past--physically speaking. I was placed on a giant suite, but it this is about the only suite attribute there was about this room. It was just a giant room with weird decor--no suite amenities here. It was either freezing cold or scorching hot; I could never get the A/C/Heat to work properly. The walking shower was incredibly slippery with nowhere to grab for stability. It felt very unsafe. I went for a conference and needed a working desk, which the room didn't have. Internet incredibly slow; it was near to impossible to do some work--get ready for that. Dialed IT support twice, but they made it sound as if I was the one who was doing something wrong on my computer. That part was a bit irritating. The safe was located at the bottom of the floor inside the closet--that was a bit uncomfortable. Not sure about the food in this hotel. With so many places all over downtown Toronto, and with China Town three or four blocks away, who needs hotel food. Great staff and location, but this hotel is not on equal footing with other Hyatt hotels I know, visited. Overall, good hotel if all you need is a place to crash and sleep after a long day of conference or touring the city.
