My Family has accumulated an insane amount of laundry After a long vacation, extended holiday weekend and an outrageous flu that left Mom in a rough state and Dad in the useless man flu that strikes with no warning rendering men completely helpless!
So, I know what your thinking.... 9-10 loads of laundry..... Well try 29 loads.... no joke! The kids were looking for fig leaves in the backyard to replace their tighty whiteys and I started considering a card board box for a blanket and sheets.
The amount of laundry had piled up so high that it was paralyzingly to even look upon the mounds..... I would do 4 or 5 loads only to have a vomit or poo incident from the flu that that would just increase the mounds of clothes!
Not to mention I was in a frantic clean and sanitize mode with the rest of the house already!
I thought there had to be a better way!!!! And there was!!! I researched my options and after a few calls I spoke to Rene at Ginnies Wash House!!! Talk about prayers being answered!!!
Renee was professional and knowledgeable! It was like talking to the Doctor of Laundry and he had some serious degrees when it came to cleaning and good service.
I got my hot mess of laundry ready, which consisted of everything that you could wear or lay on in my home in addition to some dry cleaning items that had made a home in the back of my husbands closet.
They picked everything up and returned it in 48 hours folded, hung up and ready to be put away! Everything smelled amazing!!! We have sensitive skin so they washed are stuff in free and clear.
Plus! (Kind of embarrassing for me) they take cash, card or check and so they could save on credit card fees I wrote them a check.... I don't use checks very often so we only had them for a small spending account that I use one in awhile. I transferred funds after I wrote the check but not soon enough so it was returned!!! OMG so embarrassing!!! So I gave them my card over the phone! I felt horrible! So for the massive amount of laundry, dry cleaning and bedding for 6 beds in our home my bill was around $340.
By the way worth every single penny! It would have taken me Days! Days! And Days to sort through that jungle of clothes!
