The traditional Kay Kombo (look it up) pie we ordered from Papa Da Vinci while staying at the Holiday Inn Express in South Side really would have hit the target after our evening with Van Halen IF... 1) Kay hadn't found a hair in the pizza. 2) The pizza itself wasn't lukewarm after waiting over an hour for it to arrive. 3) The plastic silverware wasn't dirty. 4) Our beverages, which Papa Da Vinci only serves in styrofoam cups, weren't flat and watered down with melted ice. Aside from those 4 things, this wasn't a shabby pizza (doughy, toasty, a crust with puffy edges), and the Oreo cheesecake was dandy, even though I doubt Papa Da Vinci makes it in-house. Including a serving of ranch dressing for dipping the crust into was a nice, tasty touch as well. We didn't realize Papa Da Vinci was all the way over in Oakland until I looked at the other reviews today. We learned of it through a Pittsburgh 'primer' the hotel had in our room in binder form. Sadly, we had no internet access and therefore, no Yelp to guide us late Friday evening. Limit your delivery range, Papa. P.S. I almost went with Little Nippers, but since I'd never before heard of Papa Da Vinci...
