Me and husband bought a foreclosure 5 years ago, and the carpeting was already bad when we bought it, and we knew we would have to replace it soon. After checking out prices from Home Depot and Lowes, I decided to check Yelp and found Expert Flooring Solutions. Tom got me in touch with Shawn, who I talked with over the floor, knew what kind of carpeting we were looking for, and was able to come out on a Saturday. Shawn was on time, had the exact type of carpet samples that we were looking for, and we didn't feel pressured at all or that he was trying to sell us products of questionable quality. While he didn't have samples of the pad, he did explain to me what kind it was, density and thickness. The carpet that we ended up going with was backordered a week, which was fine, cause we had to wait another 2 weeks to have it installed due to other obligations. The installers were also great - between 2 guys it took about 6-7 hours to complete 3 rooms on our first floor (we'll be doing the second floor at a later time). When they completed the job, we were just astounded at how wonderful it looked! Our old carpeting butted up against tile, and we had to put rugs down along the edges otherwise you would be stepping on the tack strips. With the new carpeting, these guys did such a great job of installing it, it butts up against our tile and hardwood floor seemlessly. FYI, our carpeting was installed last summer, in July and it still looks great. There hasn't been any pulling away from the tile or hardwood floor, and it still feels wonderful to walk on. Also, I should mention that we were quoted one price, with no hidden fees - it included the carpet, pad, labor/installation, removal and haul away of the old carpet, and the guys even moved our larger pieces of furniture. The same price would have only covered the carpet from Home Depot. We're going to be doing the upstairs soon, and we'll definitely be going with Expert Flooring Solutions again. And I've recommended them to friends who have had flooring needs.
