My husband and I live near Chicago,, where Whole Foods stores abound. We're quite spoiled. We unexpectedly found ourselves about 35 miles north of Urbana for a week. What to do about food? I checked reviews of organic food stores online and this seemed to be the place to go. I set my GPS for the address listed on the website, which was not a good idea. If you go there for the first time, come in off Vine Street - the address the website gives will have you walking three blocks inside through a mall, and that's if you can find parking anywhere near. Then you will go out the way you came, and drive 3 blocks to the Vine Street parking lot.
That said, this place is a gem, thus the 5 star rating. It has the best that Whole Foods has to offer. They list the farms their produce comes from, which I found charming. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You might not find the brands you like, but you will find what you need. The prices are reasonable, considering there isn't that much organic in town. I was especially happy to find fresh almond butter in bulk, not to mention beans and grains. The price range, in my opinion is moderate, as organic grocery stores go. Happy shopping!
