Future Bakery is not bad if you want to run in and pick up a decent quality sandwich (under $4.00 - taxes in) and maybe some deli meat and cheese but I would stay away from the breads and baked goods. Why? Well, nothing is covered in bins but rather just laid out on tables for people to touch and get stale. The croissants and cookies look really good but there's no way I'm eating anything that wasn't properly covered. I can't say I'm surprised regarding Mary D.'s review about the City of Toronto giving it a conditional pass. It's a huge, dark, dingy spot with no charm whatsoever. The service isn't the best either. For example, I asked for an already prepared turkey and swiss sandwich and the woman just threw it in a bag and gave it to me. While it was fresh (but ice cold), I later found out that there's a panini press onsite and the sandwiches were meant to be grilled - she was so lazy that she didn't even give me the option. There's no point in asking questions because the majority of the employees don't understand English. It's a shame because the space is huge - too bad a really good retailer/grocer couldn't take it over ... Anyway, if you're looking for a good wholesale bakery, just go to Dimpflmeier (Kipling/Advance). Fresh and reasonably priced cheese and deli meat could be found at either European Quality Meats or Blue Danube - all of which are just up the street.
