Food is outstanding, albeit a traditional menu, and service outstanding. Braised short ribs w polenta melts in your mouth. We ordered the beet salad w goat cheese to share. It was enough for the three of us to enjoy a small portion. The patio area is exquisite. My only complaint is that the last two times we've been forced to sit outside as the inside filled up. This time, I had inside seating but we were booted by a client that reserved the entire inside at the last moment (our guess is that it was a very windy evening, so they switched to inside seating rather than take a chance outside). As it turned out, the winds were not bad and we enjoyed the patio but the restaurant really shouldn't alter seating on a Friday night at the last minute. El Charro, its wait staff and the food, are all 5s if not for the snafus we've had twice with our reservations. We will return for sure and hope for a different reservation experience. (the warn sticky buns they serve before the meal are a real treat, although they don't really go with the dinners, but imagine more of a very old tradition, which is cool)
