First timer with porter flew from toronto to new york round trip. The flight there was very pleasant but the return from newark less so. My original flight was cancelled due to weather, it was not covered by the airline for any accommodation but would expect a bit more assistance given the number of flights cancelled that night. The morning flight check in process was horrific. The ground staff didn't have a smile, didn't greet. When I asked her a question she was irritated. I guess there isn't any training on customer service especially facing customers with cancellations and over 10 hr delay. She was just rude. It would also be helpful if porter wants to track employee performance or customer feedback by asking their staffs to wear name tags, which should be a standard. In addition to the poor service at the counter, the porter 1800 # is useless. Despite the convienent location and lounge experience, I would not fly porter again, going back to westjet or even air canada.
