I don't know if I'm worn out on the place or not but Fremont Street just isn't as cool as it used to be. I used to consider it the anti-strip, for those hoping for a value-minded night out and some respite from the overpriced strip fare.
There used to be $3 a hand blackjack. Not anymore.
There used to be good value diner fare. Couldn't find it this time.
The lights show used to be very trippy and cool to watch. I don't know if we even noticed it this time.
If you've never been, take a cab here one night. Or consider staying here if want to save a little bit of money from the strip prices.
