Normally I would give this restaurant five stars. We have been frequenting it for years (maybe decades, even) and enjoy the food and the general atmosphere.
Today the woman who has been there for a while, and the man who has been there even longer, were their usual welcoming selves, but the tall young man we've recently seen there surprised us with his carelessness. When he cleared our dinner plates, he swooped them into the air and allowed our utensils to drop onto the table. Later, when he brought our check, he just threw the folder down and walked away. We had smiled at the falling utensils, but the check delivery made his attitude seem like more of a pattern. His indifference isn't typical of our experience with the staff at this restaurant, and we hope he will improve his interactions with customers.
