My family and I just went on our annual road trip back home to Texas. We left our family dog, Gunner, at the Charlotte Kennel. This was our first time kenneling him. They said to check their FB page for pictures/updates on how Gunner was doing. He was there for 2 weeks, and we saw no pictures or updates. When we were calling to confirm when we were going to be back in town to pick him up, they told us that his toenail was "caught in a fence and broken". When we picked him up, his fingernail was bleeding and painful looking. It was hanging by a thread. It fell off a few days later. In addition, he was skin and bones. He had lost easily 10-15 pounds. He was also covered with fleas and had this horrible hacking cough that was alarming enough for an emergency vet visit. The vet said that he had kennel cough, usually caught through pets that are not up to date with shots. We will never kennel him again. This place is aweful. I wouldnt trust them to take care of a pet snail.
