We did a mom/daughter class on Saturday with Kristy and her gang of men. My daughter at 14 was reluctant at first as she's been in some self-defense classes through girl scouts, or clubs and she felt she was knowledgeable already. We both came away from our training feeling like this was life-changing. Starting with some simple defensive moves for the first hour or so, it seemed pretty straight-forward. But what I realized afterward that these basic moves were leading our group into a much more deeper training, where we would be very vulnerable and we would have to trust Kristy and these men training us. It did become emotional as the day went on as we were working on escaping rape situations. This is where the real trust came into play as I watched my daughter go through this. What came out on the other side of this day was empowerment, knowledge of how vulnerable we ladies are and how we can protect ourselves using our own mind and bodies. The whole experience was very powerful and I'm forever grateful to the caring team at Reality Defense for changing our lives....our girls lives.
