Yesterday was my 3rd surgery at seven hills surgery center. Their staff is the most compassion bunch of doctors, nurses, anesthesiologist and aids, a patient can ask for. From beginning to end, is a pleasant experience.
I suffered from septic shock (deathly blood infection) that stemmed from a strep infection that spread to my breast. I had a Mastectomy in August and have needed several reconstructive procedures since then, in effort to live a normal life again.
The staff is very friendly and punctual. I like the discrete check in, and layout of the waiting area. While my husband waited for my surgery to be complete, he was comfortable in their lounge area that had new couches and chairs, a phone charging area, and TVs.
The staff noticed I was extremely anxious this time around, they remembered me from my emergency procedures. They recognize my PTSD symptoms right away. While I was waiting to be prepped to go to the operating room, I was shaking and sweating and just generally scared. I knew I would be in good hands, but after my near life ending ordeal, All surgery scares me.
They immediately asked my surgeon if I can be administered an anti-anxiety medication while we waited for me to head into the OR. Life savers! I was relaxed and calm immediately.
Cathy was my nurse several times. She's just the sweetest RN. We need more people like her in the world. Her upbeat personality and attitude kept me at ease. Another of my favorites there, is an aid nicknamed "sister". She's an angel! She always kept me smiling. She even posed for a cute picture when they had a cartoon nurse clown visiting everyone in post-op recovery back in December!
Thank you Seven Hills! I truly appreciate all of you.
