So far... Not good! Will update after this is over since I'm still here waiting for a resolution.
I made a reservation with uhaul to pick up a truck tonite at 630pm to keep for 24 hours, and when I get there the uhaul guy (happens to be the owner) says the truck is only available for 12 hours... I don't need the truck tonite; I need it in the morning till the evening... But they are all already booked for the time I want it for. Thanks uhual 1-800 number for making a worthless reservation and wasting my time.
So I called the number back since it's a recorded phone line and have a supervisor reviewing the call... Will update to let you all know what happens.
Here is what happened next... The guy reviewed the phone call, admitted the mistake of their phone agent, gave me a 50 dollar credit. But there is a downside... And a pretty big one.
I was requesting a larger truck... And they have nothing that is going to fit all my stuff in 1 trip. 1 way is a good 20 miles... So I'll have to drive 20 miles back to put more crap in, 20 miles to unload the crap, then 15 miles to drop the truck off (for some bullshit reason, dropping off at a different location is another 125 bucks, at least that's what the 1-800 phone agent said... Which was also recorded, and I can't believe that to be true...)
So the upside is that I was able to at least get a truck, since apparently a billion dollar company doesn't understand that PROBABLY 90% of apartment/house leases end on the end of the month, and can't (after decades of being in business, with a monopoly in Las Vegas) afford to buy more trucks to support the massive need month after month year after year.
So I'm reluctant to give more stars, but am glad I was at least able to get a truck, and get a 50 dollar credit... Even though that credit is going to be used up entirely by them not having a larger truck to fit my move in 1 trip!
Yea... Upsetting. And it took 2 hours!!!
And that's not adding in the 20 minute phone call with the 1-800 number.
2 hours waiting for the situation to get fixed. Sitting in a shitty ass "waiting area"... Good job uhaul...
I'm not sure how you are a Nasdaq listed company trading at $366 per share, but I know I won't be buying any of your stocks or options.
I'm not very happy, but would like to speak with a regional manager or similar if possible.
