I used to go to the previous owner, Becky, who was amazing. I tried the current owner, and although she has terrible customer service skills (she makes you feel like a bother, and she told me that I interrupted her lunch at 3:30pm yet there was no sign up that she was at lunch), she did good work on the over $200 of alterations I brought her. So I go back a second time with my dresses/pants (again, over $200 in alterations) for her to alter and she tells me it will take 2 weeks for three of my items and 3 weeks for the rest of it because she's too busy. After she pinned all the clothes and has them piled up she tells me that her prices went up because she doesn't work for free. Um...okay. I've never challenged her on her prices and I've always paid what she asked. She had 2 out of the 3 items she promised me done in two weeks. She didn't have my dress that I needed done for a wedding the next day because she's too busy. Yet she told me that she just took a client order that needed the alteration done that day. She tells me that the rest of my items are next and it will be done by next week (3 weeks from when I initially dropped them off). I call the next Friday afternoon when she told me to pick them up and she hadn't even touched any of them! She told me she would have it done the next week (4 weeks later). I wanted to wear one of the dresses for Mother's Day church service that Sunday. No apology, she just told me she was busy. So I went to pick all my items up to take them elsewhere since I couldn't rely on her to get my dresses done for a wedding or for Mother's Day despite dropping them off weeks in advance. She told me that all her "paying customers" got their clothes done. What?! She has always told me to pay after I pick up my items, and I've always done that and never once challenged her on the price. I'm all about human kindness and giving someone the benefit of the doubt, and I was nothing but kind and courteous to this woman, yet she was SO RUDE! FYI, your clothes will smell like heavy cigarette smoke when you pick them up so you'll either have to dry clean them, or try spraying them with Febreze and toss them in the dryer with a dryer sheet to get some of the smell out.
