Until today I would have not had a complaint about this store as I frequent it a couple times a week. I am a female in my fifties and I went into this store today, Veteran's Day. I was in line behind two men about my age, and the cashier asked them both if they were active duty military or vets as they were offering a discount. I had a full cart of groceries, and spent a little more than $200.00, at no time did the cashier ask if I were active duty military, or a vet...which, if she would have taken the time to ask that simple question, I would have told her I was a female Marine who served for 8 years of her life. Where I don't ever post negative posts, I want to make sure Safeway knows that women do serve along men in the military, and we should be asked the same as males of the same age.
