I bought my pup from Puppy Heaven's Las Vegas location in August 2017. She was the most gorgeous little thing I have even seen. I had never seen a dog with such rich chocolate brown color and light, human like eyes. I really had no complaints about the location or the staff, and I was able to bring my baby home in just over a week. However, I was told that she was going to be a morkie, topping out at a max of 10 lbs. Even when I went to look at her, I had one of the staff members tell me that she had a lot of maltese in her and the yorkie traits might not come out as much.
After my first trip to the vet, I stopped believing that my puppy was in fact a morkie, and that I had paid over $2000 for a mutt. Over the course of several months with my dog, I had tons of people ask me what breed she is and even the vet was wondering. No one had ever seen a dog like her. I finally decided to have her genetically tested. I recently got the results back, and while she does have yorkie as one of her major breeds, there is no maltese to be found. Turns out, she is a mix of a bluetick coonhound, pekignese, miniature poodle, and yorkie, along with several other mixes that couldn't be distinguished, but are most likely terrier in nature. According to the results, she is probably going to be somewhere between 18-32 lbs fully grown. She is now considered to be a medium sized dog, instead of a toy. That's a huge difference.
I wouldn't trade my puppy for anything. I truly think that I went in for a morkie and walked out with the most special little mutt ever, and I would never, ever regret making her my pup. However, I am writing this review to let all of you potential buyers know that you may NOT be getting the dog that you think you are. In my case, it wasn't even close. The price tags that they are putting on these puppies are WAY TOO HIGH, especially when they aren't even the designer breed you thought you were purchasing. I was incredibly lucky to pick her out, but now I have a puppy that is going to be quite large. I can get over this, but I know there are some people who absolutely don't want a medium/large dog. Those of you in the market for a teacup or toy sized puppy, I suggest you look elsewhere for your future baby, because the odds are good that you aren't actually going to get one at Puppy Heaven.
