I recently moved to the Plaza Midwood/Elizabeth area from South Park and have been on a hunt for a new nail salon. I found a Groupon for a shellac manicure for Malibu Nail and decided to give it a try. I arrived around 10am and there was no one there (which was nice- peace and quiet). It was clean and the women were nice. When I was there, I decided to add on a basic pedicure. I enjoyed my pedicure and am very content with it. However, I'm not impressed with my shellac manicure. I know I purchased it on Groupon- so I got a great deal on it. But, it was a sloppy job. The paint was all over my cuticles and skin. The worst part- it was already chipping the next day. People get shellac mains/pedis specifically for no chipping!! Needless to say- I was not happy with it. I would go back to get a quick pedicure. But other than that, I think I will continue to explore other options in the area.
