This was my favorite day in Las Vegas. I'm not a casino person and was visiting for a friend's wedding and just had to get out of that evil pyramid. Arriving at McGhie's without reservations (reservations are recommended - we got lucky on a Wednesday) we got a free upgrade to the more expensive bikes - those being the only ones left. I'm not really into scheduled times and guides while on vacation - and we enjoyed just showing up and riding around by ourselves. I do think they run out of bikes sometimes though and I would call and reserve before driving out there. I found the beginner loop a little challenging; I have no Mt. Bike experience but am a 30 year old guy who road bikes. But it was really fun to be challenged; normally tourist / beginner = pure boredom - but this was very exiting including a few near misses with Cactus! I think that is what is holding them back that the trails are a little too tough for a true Vegas tourist beginner. But hey its not supposed to be a rascal track either. I rented a car for the day to get there, but maybe a cab would be cheaper?
