I was very fortunate to have found this place. My brother recently passed away, and I drove down from Utah to rescue his 127 lb St Bernard from the shelter. Coming from Utah, I am accustomed to seeing self-service dog washes all over, so finding one in Las Vegas was a bit of a task, but I was able to stumble across this one, which was about a half an hour drive from the shelter. I called ahead of time, to see if this was even feasible, and they said to go ahead and bring him down. When we got there, I was a little nervous about bringing him in, so I scoped out the shop. The girls showed me the wash area, and I decided I would try to bring him in to try to give him a bath. He really wasn't having it, and I think they could see my discomfort and stress over inheriting this large dog. Laura Sartor, the manager, came over and told us that sometimes brushing them can help calm them down, and then proceeded to assist me and my sister in brushing Riley out. He began to relax and feel comfortable, having been through the trauma of loss of his Dad, I think he felt pretty pampered with all of us brushing.
I then met with Kathy, the owner, who was very nice and even gave me a bag of holistic dog food and explained what I should be looking for when I read the labels. I just wanted to thank all the girls there that day for being so kind and helping us out in such a stressful time, we are glad that there are such knowledgeable dog lovers in the world who are so loving and passionate when it comes to our furry friends.
