I was shopping around for a new bike from the various shops around Cleveland. I found a potential one at Eddy's but noticed it had no kick stand. I asked if they would put one on for me and they said they would but they would charge me $10-12. I told him that other places do offer free kickstands, especially on a $600 bike. But the guy swore up and down that no bike shop does that. It wasn't so much the $10 that bothered me, it was the whole vibe the guy and the shop gave me. It just felt like these guys try to pinch every penny out of you, I wouldn't be surprised if the guy had offered me a protection plan..... I ended up getting a bike from Fridrich and they did put a kickstand on for free and swapped my tires and pedals.
