In all fairness I want to start this off by saying that I really wanted my dining experience to be more positive than it turned out to be, but after my experiences with Bardot (even post visit) I'd be doing a disservice if I rated this any higher. So on a rare instance the wife and I ventured to Vegas to ring in Christmas and due to the strip being cluttered with people we decided to find something "local" as we were staying at Monte Carlo to test our palette with and that lead us to Bardot on a random walk back to the room, but had I known what was in store for us I'd have kept walking. Earlier in the day I had my heart set on ordering a lobster to sort of spoil myself since it was a holiday and I looked at the 1/2 Maine lobster here which from Yelpers of previous looked to die for. As we ordered, I came to find out they were out of lobster for the night (after the fact) due to their shipment not being up to the manager's (Robert) standard. That believe it or not was a plus for me through this whole ordeal. I do appreciate the fact they want to put out quality dishes bad as I was craving for some lobster. What fell horribly flat for me was just about everything from that point on. After hearing of the whole lobster ordeal, as an alternative I just went ahead and ordered the 1/2 dozen wild Mexican shrimp. Call me crazy, but a $22 price tag for only 6 shrimp does seem a bit outlandish to me. To its credit, the shrimp was fresh and tasted pretty good, but in the end I was left desiring more bang for those bucks. I could've found a shrimp cocktail for half the price and possibly double the taste somewhere else, it is Vegas and all right? My main cause of disapproval was our waiter, Jesus (not good when you remember names). I felt even from the initial point of the meal he was condescending to both myself and especially my wife. All through the meal he made very snarky yet sarcastic comments about various things and we both felt as the meal wrapped up we didn't deserve to even be dining there. We stayed respectful and just focused on each other, but totally inappropriate on all levels! After the meal we mutually agreed to call back and at the very least make the manager aware of our experience. We weren't looking to be compensated for anything as were just glad it's over, but even a shred of empathy from the manager (Robert) would've given me some shred of hope as I write this. Just his overall approach to our feedback was standoffish and he brushed it off with a very arrogant attitude. Rather than apologize for any of this he ended up simply comping my portion of the meal which I mean was a good gesture, but 100% truth here; all I wanted was an apology for how HIS server spoke to us that night. Vegas is a city where change is always evident and I do hope Aria makes note of situations like this because as much as Bardot is a reflection of itself, it is in the grand scheme of things a reflection of Aria as well and I actually love it there for gambling purposes and even the rooms, but pardon et moi if the dining experiences have even me saying au revior!
