So I went here for a consultation. It was alright enough. The staff was a bit pushy and unwelcoming. When I left I found out I was going to be charged $222 for the visit. That maybe customary, I don't know. The lady in billing wasn't very courteous with breaking anything down to me about the work I needed done or the fees. She just handed me a paper and said she'd call me in 2 weeks. All dentists could give me an approximate breakdown of how much insurance could pay on the spot. They don't get great reviews and they don't seem to like to be asked questions either, so I'm leery. UPDATE: I'm updating this... because now, I'm angry. In the response from Reed Day, they said they try not to give any type of estimate... I found this out only after I made this appointment and was billed the $222 for the visit. I made the consultation over the phone in order to get information on pricing. Why else would I care about going in? Because I like dental offices? Because I like to waste my day speaking with dentists? I've already had a dental implant. The in's and out's of the procedure could have been discussed over the phone... I needed numbers. When I asked the assistants, they say "Oh, billing will speak to you about that on your way out...", I tried to speak with the dentist about it, "...billing will speak to you about that on your way out...". I go to Billing.. "We don't have that information..." I'll email it to you when I get the estimate from your insurance co. Now that I'm thinking about it I may dispute it with my insurance company.
