So we recently bought my husband a new car here and the salesman was nice. I feel we did get a good deal but the one stars is for the bullshit after and the service dept.
So let me start with the service dept.
I own a hyundai and got a recall notice on my car. So I brought the car here and I foolishly didnt read the other reviews or I wouldn't have. First the service advisor was ok, but he and another advisor were a bit pushy about trying to sell me an oil change package I didnt want.
Then after when he was going over my services he tells me " oh have you noticed your breaks are squeeking?" You should have them looked at, we could look at them for you..... blah blah.
Again trying to sell me what I dont need, as my breaks are not squeeking.
Its just shady to do this. And sadly after reading other reviews this is not uncommon.
Now for the second issue. When we bought my husbands new car it came with window tint and we noticed there were scratches in the tint on the passenger and drivers windows. They said no worries they would redo it. So we make an appointment and my hubby brings in the car. 3 hours later the car is ready and when he was inspecting the windows he finds major bubbling on the passenger window and a bubble with a hair in it on the drivers side.
Yes, I said a HAIR. the guys DNA is stuck in the window. Fucking gross!!!
When my hubby points it out the tint guy says "oh you have good eyes to catch that"
Really? Did he think he would get away with it?
So we complained. We get told, ok we will re do it bring it back.
I mean how many times do I have to keep wasting my time here before you get it right?
I know the tint guy is a third party contractor and when he has to redo work he is not getting paid, so he doesnt care. But this is not fair for people to waste day after day here for this guy to finally get it right.
I went in to ask if they would give me a rebate of some sort to pay to have the job done right and I was told no.
So either I waste my time on free garbage or just pay someone else to get it right.
Guess I am eating the price of new tint cause my time is valuable.
I told ABCs GM and service manager we wouldn't be having this conversation if the car didnt come with tint, and maybe it would be wise to just stop offering it since the sub par service is what is ruining their ratings. I was told well people want tint.
Yes people want tint but we would like it done right the first time.
Lastly the referral program is a joke. Our friend bought two cars at ABC and we mentioned his name during our deal but when we asked about the referral we were told " well to get that you have to go online fill out a form, then bring the form in, blah blah." This whole lengthy procedure that our friend was never told about before hand.
This is just another way they weasel out of living up to their promises.
Bottom line if you go here to buy a car, go in with your defences up, dont buy in to the hype, stand firm and get everything in writing and you will be fine.
Now if you want service I suggest las vegas hyundai. My father brings his hyundai there and gets exceptional service every time.
oh and I had to add this edit: notice the response from their customer service rep John, I find it hilarious he would be spouting off on how ABC is rated 4.8 out of 5 on dealer rater, yet they are rated here on yelp 2.5..... so what are you saying? Ignore the bad review here and the low rating cause on another site were great!
