My water heater went out yesterday, and we had another plumbing company with a 5-star Yelp average come out to fix it. I was told that there was no way to fix it, and to replace would cost over $3000, and he would have to pull permit, meaning that my family would have no hot water for several days. This did not sound right to me, so I called Boss Plumbing for a second opinion. Benny showed up at 9pm, and diagnosed the problem right away, and went ahead and fixed the water heater with no issues. We had hot water that very same night. When asked how much it would've cost to change the water heater, I was quoted about $2000 for the same model that the other "reputable" company was asking for. We saved major dollars because of Benny/Boss last night. To top it all off, Benny was friendly and courteous, and offered advice on future maintenance for the water heater. Very grateful to Benny/Boss Plumbing. They are the only plumbers I will call from now on. Moral of the story: do not blindly believe in companies with good Yelp reviews. If something doesn't feel right, call for a second opinion. I saved over $3000 by calling Boss Plumbing last night.
