I'm not shocked that every other review on this site is a bad review. This confirms my experience with this dealership. My husband went in to look for a used Jetta and found one to his liking. After we test drove the car and sat down to make the deal, another sales person came to the table where we were sitting and took the keys from us so another couple could test drive the car! Even after we expressed what a poor business practice this was, the sales manager told us this is that way they do it. In all of my car buying experiences, I have never had this happen. At that point, we should have just walked out and allowed the other couple the car because the experience only got worse. Our "certified" car was sold to us with 4000 miles more than the sticker stated. The finance guy didn't bother to point out the mileage when we signed the papers and unfortunately we were so tired and ready to go that we didn't go over the forms with a fine toothed comb like we should have. But I have never bought a car when the finance person did not make it a pojnt to note the mileage when the papers are signed. Good onya James. When I pointed this out the next day, they seemed surprised, but just shrugged. How can you "certify" a vehicle off of the trip meter then miraculously know the mileage for financing? No offer to make anything right, offer a free service or anything. There was also a bend in the back door which allowed air leakage, and the dealership didn't want to use the body shop to repair it because the estimate was "too high", so they brought in someone else to make the repair. The bend was repaired & new weather stripping was installed which is still not seated properly. They say it will set itself over time. And to add insult to injury, the car was not smogged so I wasted 5 hours to and from DMV only to not be able to register the car. I have to give kudos to Alex in service, and Larry the Service Manager who were way more concerned about the customer service experience than the sales department was. They took care of getting the car registered for us so I didn't have to go through the DMV again, and gave us loaners while the door was fixed. And our Sales person also seemed very concerned over the treatment we received by the sales office and finance department. Bottom line is, this isn't our last vehicle purchase, but it will be from Findlay North and any Findlay dealerships. I just wish we would have followed my husband's gut instinct to walk out when they took the car from us for the other couple to drive.
