When we first bought our house, I thought everything was in perfect order. It was completely remodeled and gorgeous - custom home quality - and we paid well over list because of it. All we wanted to do before moving in was change the paint color. I took vacation time at work and began preparing to paint. As I was in the guest room, having no furniture, I sat down on the floor and leaned against the wall to rest. I started getting a headache, the smell down there was very strong and a little odd. I removed the three plugin air fresheners the former owners left in the room and got down on the carpet to begin taping. After a minute, the 'cover-up smell' had dissipated and I was left with the most horrible stench! I started to gag even. I quickly realized the carpet was the cat's litter box, and the sellers covered it up. We did not budget for new carpet (the carpet was already new, and so beautiful) but the smell was so bad, there's no way we could live in the house with it, so I tore it out. There wasn't an inch of carpet that wasn't covered in pee. It even soaked through the padding, into the concrete in certain areas. Considering that no furniture was in the house, we decided to at least get a quote and see if we could make it work. Enter 'Expert Flooring Solutions'. We chose them because of their reviews, and I am so thankful! We were tight on time because we needed it installed before we could move in. We had 3 days. Keisha was so patient with us, she didn't try and upsell us at all, and worked with us as we went back and forth between kinds of carpet, and color of carpet. Finally I asked her "what is the carpet that is the 'best value'. I don't want cheap carpet, but we can't afford the expensive kind." She led us to some samples, and we trusted her and picked a color. The price that was estimated based on my numbers was right at our budget! She looked up stock in the warehouse and there was just enough, it could arrive the following business day if she ordered it early enough the next day. Shawn came out and measured in the morning and gave an exact quote, which was less than we had budgeted! But, we still needed to get it installed in time. Keisha called me the following morning and said that the carpet had arrived and an installer had a job fall out and that they could install it in a few hours if I was available...yes! The installers were so kind, they worked around my painting and never complained. I have a spiral staircase that leads to a loft, which is very hard to install carpet on. They refused to leave until it was just right. The carpet was so much nicer than we thought it would be! Keisha knows her stuff. We love this carpet just as much as the custom kind that was cat pee ridden. And it was all done in 2 days. We went in the store Wednesday evening, it was installed on Friday. We had a day to spare! If you made it all this way in my wordy review, you're serious about getting your flooring done...and I hope that you'll take my word, you can trust Expert Flooring Solutions. The good reviews are true!
