I love Encore! It definitely is one of my favorite hotels to stay at in Las Vegas.
What I love:
+ Ease of getting in and out of their parking garage
+ Windows and skylights letting in tons of natural light in their casino and esplanade
+ Beautifully decorated public spaces - love the bright colors!
+ Their restaurant Sinatra is top notch
+ Great high-end shops here and next door at Wynn
+ Spacious rooms at great rates on select dates if you are a Wynn/Encore insider
Why I can't give a fifth star:
- Cleanliness was an issue on our last stay. We found part of a wrapper and red spots on the shower floor in our bathroom. When we called in about this issue, a woman with housekeeping insisted the spotting was just part of the tile pattern and wiped it with her finger to prove her point. (Ick!) She proceeded to spray clean it anyway, but the stains did not go away. We were still too grossed out to step on it, so we put towels on the floor when we took showers.
- Maintenance issues. Various light bulbs were out in our room on another stay.
- Safes don't display your code. I like when safes quickly flash your code upon locking them, but theirs don't, so you better hope you correctly punched in the code you wanted!
- Very few options for cheap eats, and I don't care for the ones they do have.
Four Seasons and Mandarin Oriental are still tops to me as far as cleanliness, customer service, and aesthetics, but Encore isn't too far behind and is in my top three of favorite Las Vegas hotels :)
