This review isn't going to convince you to try LAF, but if you're looking for a gym in the Point Breeze area then this place is worth checking out. Maybe I've just been to some baddddd gyms, but this one is just in the middle of road (imagine the scary 1 stars!). To the highlights...the machines are decent and very rarely do I see machines out of order (most of the time). There do seem to be a decent amount of classes that are held, but I am never sure if they are extra or not (I'm sure there's one or two). I don't have a trainer and maybe that's why I have a generally okay experience with this location, based on what I've seen from other reviews. I really am a straight shooter at this location--I go to lift and do some cardio and get out. Nothing fancy. I would think that given the higher rate for the special location (Signature Club) in Bakery Square, they would do a better job upholding appearances. For example, it's only recently that I've seen staff cleaning regularly and still...so, so dusty. They don't take care of the place the way I would expect for a Bakery Square location. The WiFi barely ever works, maybe it's just the amount of people there, but why not just upgrade that modem? All in all, a decent gym if you're looking for the basics.
