My opinion of this store changed when they decided to host and event with a company called Hands on Exotics. When I made a negative comment on their Facebook page, I was deleted and blocked. My beef was that you should not be promoting a cat rescue by including a company that carts around wild animals for people's amusement. The mere name of Hands on Exotics tells you that they allow people to handle wild animals. How is this benefiting them? Pet Valu lost my support when I found out they gave donated money from their spring campaign to High Kill Municipal Animal Shelters and misdirected donors money to the SPCA[ allegedly] in BC. See the Pet Valu Facebook page for details. Don't be fooled into thinking that these people care about animals. NEVER donate to a charity through a pet store.
