A friend who was getting married ordered our bridesmaids dresses from this store last year. The lady who was taking my measurements did not do a proper job and ended up ordering me a dress that was about 3 sizes too big for me (she convinced me it was the right size at the time). I had to get major alterations done on it for my friend's wedding.
I decided to give the store another chance now that I'm preparing for my own wedding. I made an appointment in the bridal dept hoping that this would be a more positive experience. I was so disappointed. When I got to my appointment, there were about 4 ladies sitting at the reception desk chatting - and they didn't get up or even greet us properly when we came in. Instead they looked over their shoulder and said, "hi. fill this out".
During my appointment I had described the type of dress that I wanted. The lady helping me completely ignored my criteria for a dress (I did not want much beading) and brought me dresses that were heavily beaded. When I told her again that this was not what I wanted, she said, "ohhhh, no beading" like it was the first time I had said it. I don't think I'm a hard person to please, but when you can't remember the one thing I that I do not want on a dress.......
Needless to say, my appointment was wasted trying on dresses that she thought would look good on me but I hated. As it came close to the end of my appointment, she said, "ok, well we'll try on one more dress and then we can reschedule another appointment for you". The last dress she brought in was just as beaded and just as ugly When I told her I didn't want to try it on, she said, "ok" and left it at that.. So disappointing. I find the staff do what they want, and dont' really listen to your requests or satisfy your needs. I don't even know how big their selection (of dresses) is, since every dress was picked out by the lady helping me and I was only allowed to browse through the few that were by the reception area.
Lesson learned.
