My husband and I both needed new runners so we checked out Sport Chek during Boxing Week. I went to the women's shoe area and there was one sales guy there. I picked up the shoes that I wanted and looked over at the one guy who was working the area. He looked straight at me... and then looked away. He wasn't clearing up the area or with another customer, he was just standing there. He could just been zoned out so I had to go up to him and ask him to bring me those shoes in size 6.5. He looks annoyed and leaves and then comes back with the box. Instead of walking me over to seat and taking the shoes out for me, he just hands me the box. The laces weren't done up and there was still stuffing in the shoes. I guess it was asking too much to give me service and work for his commision. After I try on the shoe and walk around, he doesn't even ask me if they fit alright or if I needed another size. He just asked me if I would be buying them and if I was then to make sure he could put his employee number on the box so they would give him credit for getting me the shoes. My husband had the exact same experience... except his sales guy didn't even bring him the right color shoe he wanted (he wanted white sneakers), he rudely just said, "Those are the black version". Didn't explain if they were out of the white ones or if he was just too lazy to go and get the proper colour runners that were requested. And same thing with just handing him the box, not doing up the laces and not taking the stuffing out of the shoes. And, like the women's shoe section, the men's section was also not busy so there was no excuse for their laziness. Overall, the service was appalling. And the people who work there aren't even embarrassed by how lazy and incompetent they come across as. Will never buy shoes from this location again, they do not deserve the commison they got.
